PREP: 15 mins + refrigerating
SERVES: 10
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping, divided
1 Honey Maid Graham Pie Crust (6 oz)
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of Planters Pecans, divided
2 pkg (3.4 oz each) JELL-O Vanilla flavor instant pudding
1 cup cold milk
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip Topping, thawed, divided
1) Pour 1/4 cup caramel topping into pie crust; sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
2) Beat pudding mixes, milk, pumpkin and spices with whisk until blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of Cool Whip.
3) Refrigerate 1 hour. Top with remaining Cool Whip, drizzle caramel topping and nuts just before serving.
Turtle pumpkin pie is a great alternative to pumpkin pie. I have made this one 2 years in a row and there has not been any left. Also very simple to make which is a plus with a toddler now. This is one dessert you will not regret making, I know I haven't.
